Privacy policy
Giftokeep keeps your gifts, people and plans on your iPhone and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud. It does not collect, store or send any personal data to its developer.

What Giftokeep stores, and where
The people you add (with a birthday or anniversary if you enter one), the gifts you log (given and received), their prices, occasions, photos and shop links, your ideas and your plans and budgets are stored on your device, in the app's own storage. If you're signed in to iCloud and iCloud is on for Giftokeep, they are also kept in your private iCloud database, so they come back on a new iPhone or after you reinstall the app, and stay the same on every iPhone with your Apple Account. That database belongs to your Apple Account: Apple stores it under Apple's terms, and the developer cannot see or read it. There is no Giftokeep server. With iCloud off for Giftokeep, your data stays on this device only. A shop link you save is only opened in your browser when you tap it; Giftokeep never loads it itself.
If you back up your iPhone with iCloud Backup or to a computer, this data is included in that backup the same way as every other app's data, under Apple's terms.
No account, no analytics, no tracking
There is no sign-in. Giftokeep contains no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code that collects data. It does not track you across apps or websites.
Price estimates
When Giftokeep suggests a price, it works it out on your device: from prices you entered before, or from a built-in table of typical prices for the region where a gift was bought. The gift's name is never sent anywhere to get an estimate.
Purchases
The one-time unlock is sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. To show its price and complete a purchase, Giftokeep asks the App Store, and Apple tells it only whether the unlock is owned. Giftokeep never sees your payment details or Apple Account, and sends none of your gifts, people or plans.
Your currency
The currency you last chose for a gift's price, used for price estimates, is saved on your device in iOS's standard settings storage.
Permissions and photos
Giftokeep asks for one permission, the camera, and only when you tap Camera to photograph a gift. Choosing a photo from your library uses Apple's photo picker: Giftokeep receives only the photo you pick and cannot see the rest of your library. Photos are stored inside the app on your device, scaled down, and, with iCloud on, in your private iCloud with the rest of your data. They are never sent anywhere else. To add someone from your contacts, Giftokeep uses Apple's contact picker: it receives only the name of the contact you pick, asks for no permission, and cannot see your other contacts. Giftokeep does not use location or notifications. If a future version needs another permission, it will ask you first, and this policy will say what it is used for before that version is released.
Notifications
When reminders arrive in a future version, they will never name the gift itself, because the person the gift is for may see your lock screen.
Children
Giftokeep collects no data from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
Delete people, gifts and occasions in the app (open a gift and tap Delete Gift; swipe an occasion or a person to the left), or delete the app to remove everything it stored on your device. With iCloud on, deleting something also removes it from your iCloud and your other iPhones. Deleting the app leaves your iCloud copy in place, so it comes back if you reinstall; to remove it, go to Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage › Giftokeep and delete its data there.
